Sara Grace Couse passed away on November 3, 2026, on her 77th birthday. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Sara was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and partner. Her greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind and the love that will continue through generations.

She is survived by her children: Kimberly Smith and her husband, Michael Smith, and their children, Harlee Grace and Dakota; Krista Shanley and her husband, Scott Shanley, and their children, Cierra, Ayden, and Andrew; and Kara Berryann and her children, Adriana, Madison, and Remy Mae. Great grandchildren: Maverick and Van Weathers.

She is also survived by her brothers, David and Steven Couse.

Sara was the beloved daughter of the late Adrian and Helen Couse, sister to the late Ellen Couse, and mother to the late Scott Berryann.

Sara also shared a beautiful love story with Roger Rifenburg, who preceded her in death. Their years together were filled with love, laughter, companionship, and memories that will forever remain a cherished part of her life. Their love and the life they shared will always hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew them, most importantly their daughters and grandchildren, who carry a lasting piece of their story and love.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and the countless memories they will forever cherish.

She will be loved always, missed beyond words, and never forgotten.
