NISKAYUNA –
Sharon Dyer, 73, of Niskayuna left this world peacefully on November 15, 2024 with her husband, son, and best friend by her side.
She was born in Albany to the late Charles and Elizabeth Golden and was predeceased by sister Maureen Trowbridge.
Sharon was the beloved wife of Arthur Dyer for 50 years and loving mother of Adam Dyer.
She attended Vincentian Institute and HVCC. Sharon was employed for many years in the insurance industry. In later years, Sharon fulfilled a lifelong dream of performing stand-up comedy. She had a natural gift of making people laugh, was a kind and generous person who loved her family and friends.
In addition to her husband and son, Sharon is survived by her nephews: Jeffrey and David Trowbridge, brother-in-law Chuck Dyer, and all of her Dyer nieces and nephews.
A heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff at Albany Medical Center that cared for Sharon.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sharon's family from 1-3PM on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Simple Choices, Inc., 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street), Troy, NY 12180, a celebration of Sharon's life will begin at 3 o'clock that afternoon in the funeral home.
