CHESTERTOWN –

Stacey Ann Harrje of Chestertown passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026 at the Gateway House of Peace in Ballston Spa, NY following a January diagnosis of glioblastoma.

Stacey was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and educator. She enjoyed making her home a welcoming place by cooking delicious meals and beautifully decorating for every holiday. She loved with a fierce mama bear energy and positively impacted many lives as a hard-working one-on-one instructional aide at Glens Falls High School where she was known affectionately as 'Momma Harrje'.

A Jersey Girl at heart, Stacey was born in Teaneck, NJ in 1969. She grew up as Stacey Watson in the Highland Lakes section of Vernon, NJ where she met her future husband Michael Harrje 40 years ago. In the late 90s they moved to a house that Michael built for them in Chestertown.

Stacey was predeceased by her mother Frances Tomsey (née D'Auria) and father Edward Watson. Left to cherish her memory are husband Michael and daughter Anna, dad Robert Tomsey, godmother Annette Marino, sister Sharon (Matthew) Giordano, sister-in-law Lori Harrje, nieces and nephews Abigail and Anthony Giordano, and Reeve and Trent Harden, mother-in-law Molly Harrje, as well as many friends, family members, colleagues, and students. She will be greatly missed by her pups Jada, Owen, and Charlie.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 o’clock on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at St Mary's Catholic Church, 62 Warren St, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
