GRAFTON –

Mr. Steven Michael Beaudry, 68, of Grafton, passed away peacefully at his lifetime residence on July 5, 2025.

He was born on December 16, 1956 in Troy, New York, a son of the late Norman Beaudry and Gertrude (Bonesteel) Beaudry.

Steven (known as Steve by family and friends) was a lifelong resident of Grafton and also maintained a camp in Canaan, Connecticut.

He received his education from Berlin Central School, Berlin New York.

Mr. Beaudry was employed by Mohawk Paper Mills in Cohoes, New York for over 36 years. He began employment in the beater room, then the cut size, finishing as a maintenance specialist, for the last 25 years. During retirement he worked in his hometown as part of the recycling center and ground maintenance.

Steve was a member of the town council for the Town of Grafton. While at Mohawk Paper Mills, he was shop steward (a union representative for the workers) for over 15 years. In his early years, Steve enjoyed playing softball for the Colonial Inn, Berlin NY. He was also a member of the Brunswick Elks Club for the last 25 years.

Steve will be warmly remembered as an avid (huge!) New York Jets Fan, who also enjoyed deer hunting and playing golf in his Frear Park Golf League. Other notable highlights and fun pastime activities include: Country Line Dancing, playing darts at the Elks Club, spending time at his camp in the Lone Oaks Campground in Canaan CT., spending time with his dogs, maintaining his homestead as a skilled carpenter. Steve was smart, polite, and smooth. He was free with a smile, and quick with a joke. His presence will be sorely missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Tammy Lee Beaudry, whom he married April 2, 1979 in the City of Troy. Steve was the devoted father of Stephnie (Anthony) and Steven (Kimberly), and cherished grandfather of Steven Michael Beaudry III, and two beloved canines (his babies) Tanner and Charlie Brown.

He was a cherished brother-in-law to: Dale "Dick", Carol (Edward), Lisa (Michael), and Wayne, and a son in law to Madeline "Ma" and uncle to Robert and Michael.

Also surviving are siblings: Peter Beaudry, Mary Young, James Beaudry (Tammy), Daniel Beaudry, Paul Beaudry, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steven was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and John Beaudry.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 in the Chapel of Simple Choices, Inc. & Riverview Funeral Home, 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) Troy, NY 12180. Calling Hours will be from 4-7PM followed by a memorial service at 7PM in the funeral home. All are welcomed.
