Steven Richtman, aged 69, passed away suddenly on October 15, 2016 after struggling with some health issues for a number of months.
Steven was born in IL, resided in Albany for many years; also lived in Cape Cod, the place that he always wanted to return to.
He was predeceased by his parents and natural siblings, leaving him with many surrogate family/friends.
Steven was interested in the arts: was a writer, artist, philosopher, avid animal lover, a master gardener and touched many lives with his unselfish nature of being there for folks when they needed him. His natural intuition and ability to see into people's psyche was legendary. He worked in the addiction field for many years; his most recent job before retiring was with the Institute for Professional Development in Addictions.
He leaves behind many friends, his beloved dog, Buddy, and surrogate family members.
Donations may be made in his memory to the ASPCA or Humane Society.
