Maudie B. Dussault, 86, of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on April 16, 2024.
 
The daughter of the late Jess and Dovie (Large) Bailey, Maudie was born on August 29, 1936 in Blackey, Kentucky. Maudie was raised in Kentucky and has lived in Clifton Park, NY with her husband Edward for the past 42 years.
 
Maudie received her education from Duanesburg Central High School and was formerly employed as a sales associate for The Big N and Joy Department Stores. She also worked part time at Shenendehowa Schools.
 
During her life her memberships included the Historical Committee for Restoration of Grooms Tavern in Clifton Park. She was also a member of the Open Space Committee for Clifton Park.
 
Maudie loved life! She possessed an interest in antiques, old-fashioned cars, and enjoyed camping, long car rides, and spending time with her family and friends. At the age of 46, she completed her education and earned her GED. She also wrote and published a wonderful true story titled "Raising Tiny". She never backed down from a challenge and she fought hard for her beliefs. She always knew how to "get it done".
 
Survivors include her devoted husband, Edward Dussault, Jr. their union together lasted 57 years.
 
She was the loving mother of: Anthony Shafer, Katrina Shafer (Westfall), Timothy Shafer and Richard Breitenstein. She was the cherished grandmother of many grandchildren and was further blessed with many great grandchildren as well.
 
Cremation has taken place through the care of Simple Choices, Inc. Her arrangements will be private.
